The professional glazier behind the business
Clarity Glass is led by Taylor Fiddes, whose working life has been built almost entirely around glass. Taylor began a glazing apprenticeship at 19 after a year in building work, then stayed with the company he trained with until 2017.
After time in the UK playing rugby, he moved to Australia and worked in glass balustrades and pool fencing. Taylor returned to New Zealand in 2019 and started Clarity Glass. Frameless glass has been his main focus throughout his glazing career.
Taylor is local to the Dunedin and Mosgiel area. He prefers to talk projects through in-person or over the phone, because it is easier to explain the options, process and likely costs in a proper conversation.

Clarity Glass has been operating since 2019, working mainly with homeowners, renovators and DIY customers across Dunedin and Otago. Taylor runs the company with one full-time staff member, brings in trusted contractors when needed and works from a workshop between Mosgiel and Dunedin that is used for aluminium storage, stock and fabrication.
Glasswork is custom made for the space, including frameless glass showers, glass balustrades, kitchen splashbacks, bespoke mirrors, privacy screens, wind breaks, retrofit glazing and residential glass repairs. Selected commercial repair work can also be undertaken, including shop fronts and commercial doors.
Balustrades carry a 15-year supplier warranty on powder coating and materials, while showers carry a five-year warranty. Taylor is a PS3 author, which means he can certify that balustrades have been installed correctly to New Zealand safety standards.
